Love U Summer

I joined in on the challenge over at Flourish With A Bling this month. I love their products and have a modest stash of their flourishes and bling. This is the first time I've used their Up In The Sky puffy stickers - they are absolutely divine!

This layout is definitely getting me excited for summer days ahead. I used lots of bright colours. I don't use Simple Stories papers often but it suited this page perfectly.

I received the ultimate gift from my family for my birthday recently - a Silhouette Cameo! And of course, I've been going mad cutting anything and everything! Love it to bits :) The background design of this page is a silhouette cut.

Go over and check their lovely blog at FWAB.

Mixed Media card for Off The Rails challenge

I joined in over at Off The Rails Scrapbooking for the first time. I took the time to read the About Us section of the blog and was definitely inspired. There's nothing like a good challenge! The idea is go outside your comfort zone - off the rails, so to speak! So I did.

I created a card with a little mixed media. I definitely got messy and I went through waaaaay to many baby wipes and paper towels.

I really loved creating the background.
I applied gesso with a stencil and then heat embossed Copper Tinby Metallic Melts.
I added a felt doily and made a tag.
I used gelatos in Gold Champagne, Tangerine and Metallic Melon on a gorgeous Scrapmatts chipboard heart
and stamped with Distress Ink in Tea Dye.

I feel the flower cluster is probably a bit too 'clean' for the card but I too scared that I might ruin the card - so I left it at that.

This is Off The Rails Scrapbooking mood palette for November that inspired my card. Have a go!

My final layout for D-Lish Scraps inspiration team

I have been scrapping - just not a lot of posting! I was away on an amazing scrapbooking retreat recently. I was asked to do a few demos during the weekend which is always great fun but the nerves do get to me beforehand :/ Lots of inspiration and I did manage to get some pages done (in between the vinos).

This month is my final month with D-Lish Scraps inspiration team :( I've had an amazing time with the team and D-Lish Scraps owner Amanda is simply lovely. I've had a ball.

D-Lish Scraps November Inspiration Board is divine! Glitter and gold and coral. So beautiful. Do go over and join in with this month's challenge.

And this is my interpretation. What better way to close it out than with a page about my first experience with a scrappy team :)

I matted the photo with tissue paper, a doily and glitter paper and then coloured wire, for lots of texture. I cut three strips of patterned paper and added to the bottom of the page but adhered them in a way so I could tuck lots of elements between them.

Lots of gold and glitter elements. I'm mad for tags at the moment. Don't you love that D-Lish Scraps pink girl button! I finally found a use for coloured mesh! I ruffled it and tucked it behind the paper strip.

Staples, brads, some flowers and a short journaled piece. It came together quite easy. Loved doing this page. I don't feel so awkward scrapping about myself anymore :)
